The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) extended the deadline for Class 12 students to apply for scanned photocopies of their evaluated answer books after persistent technical glitches on its portal.
The new deadline is May 24, 2026, instead of May 23, giving students an extra day to complete the process.
CBSE said its website faced “unprecedented traffic” and several attempts of unauthorised interference, causing repeated disruptions. The board stated that the extension ensures no student is left behind in accessing their scanned answer sheets.
Students and parents had complained about failed payments, delayed access, and frequent crashes during the application process. The board assured that technical teams are working to stabilise the system.
CBSE also clarified that students will have two days after receiving their scanned copies to apply for verification of marks or re‑evaluation if discrepancies are found.
Applications for scanned answer sheets can be submitted through the official CBSE website.
