Odisha will host the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region Council meeting, bringing together representatives from Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.
On Friday, CII Odisha Chapter Chairman Anil Singh and Vice‑Chairman Manikanta Nayak met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan to discuss the upcoming event. The leaders briefed the Chief Minister on preparations and the agenda for the high‑level meeting.
The conference will focus on the coordinated role of eastern states under the Prime Minister’s “Purvodaya” initiative, which aims to accelerate development across the region. CM Majhi will outline Odisha’s growth strategy and future plans during the session.
Officials said the meeting will highlight Odisha’s progress in industrial development, infrastructure expansion, and investment promotion. The Chief Minister emphasised that Odisha’s participation reflects its commitment to regional collaboration and sustainable economic growth.
The CII Eastern Region Council meeting is expected to strengthen partnerships among member states and identify new opportunities for industrial and social advancement.
