A bomb threat forced authorities to evacuate the Malkangiri district court premises today, triggering panic and heightened security measures.
Officials said an anonymous email warned that explosives had been planted inside the court complex. The message claimed responsibility under the name of the Tamil Nadu Liberation Group and threatened to blow up the premises.
District Judge Shantanu Kumar Das immediately ordered all staff, lawyers, and litigants to vacate the court. Police teams rushed to the site and began thorough inspections across the premises. A special bomb disposal squad joined the operation to ensure safety.
The threat disrupted normal court proceedings. Police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to detect any suspicious objects. Investigators are examining the source of the email to determine whether the threat was genuine or an attempt to spread fear.
Authorities confirmed that no explosives have been found so far. Security arrangements have been tightened, and officials urged people to remain calm. Police assured that vigilance will continue until the investigation concludes.
