In a major step toward enhancing Odisha’s tourism ecosystem, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida paid a visit to the renowned Nandankanan Zoological Park today to review tourist facilities and evaluate ongoing infrastructure development.
During her review, the Deputy Chief Minister stressed the importance of making visits to the zoo safer, seamless, and memorable for both domestic and international travelers. Detailed discussions focused on improving basic amenities, including high-quality drinking water facilities, resting spaces, internal transport options, and enhanced public conveniences.
“Nandankanan is a landmark destination for Odisha. Our goal is to ensure that every visitor returns with a joyful and enriching experience,” stated Smt. Parida. She directed officials to fast-track key development projects and raise service delivery standards to match global tourist expectations while maintaining a strong focus on wildlife care and environmental sustainability.
The high-level review meeting was attended by Minister for Forest, Environment & Climate Change Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, Tourism Department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Shri Balwant Singh, alongside senior officials from both the Forest and Tourism departments.
