Bhopal: At least three police personnel were shot dead by blackbuck poachers in Saga Barkheda village in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district late last night.
The deceased have been identified as sub-Inspector Rajkumar Jatav, head constable Sant Ram Meena and constable Neeraj Bhargava.
According to reports, the incident occurred the policemen had gone to nab the poachers after receiving reliable input from informers.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has said the culprits will not be spared and strict action will be taken against them. “Three brave police officers were martyred in a firing by criminals near Guna. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is personally monitoring the case,” Mishra said.
