Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the festive season, the Twin city Commissionerate Police released a helpline number for citizens of Bhubaneswar to report extortion, drugs & street crime in city.

As per the Commissionerate Police’s ongoing operation, `DADABATI KU NAA’ (No To Extortion), it has so far arrested 33 anti-socials since January 2022 for demanding illegal subscription (extortion). Senior officials said that 13 anti-socials have been arrested so far in the month of September in eight cases.
The Commissionerate Police has also collected a fine of over Rs 60 lakh so far from various offenders on the charges of consuming liquor at public places in Bhubaneswar.
