The Odisha School and Mass Education Department (SME) has dismissed reports circulating in the media about alleged errors in newly revised school textbooks, calling them baseless and misleading.
In a statement posted on its official handle @SMEOdisha, the department clarified that the textbook revision process is still underway with active participation from educationists and subject experts. It assured that updated and error‑free textbooks will be distributed to students soon.
Officials emphasised that the revision exercise is being conducted with utmost care to ensure accuracy and quality. The department urged the public not to be misled by unverified claims and reiterated its commitment to maintaining high academic standards in school education.
The clarification comes amid recent speculation over textbook content following earlier reports of errors in school materials.
