The Biju Janata Dal suspended Cuttack Municipal Corporation Corporator Arabind Jena on Monday for alleged involvement in anti-party activities.
The suspension took effect immediately following an official order issued from Sankha Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.
The office order, signed by BJD General Secretary Bijaya Nayak, stated that Jena’s actions violated party discipline. The directive, numbered 06/05/SB/BJD/2026 and dated May 11, 2026, confirmed his removal from the party with immediate effect. The letter also mentioned that copies were sent to the concerned person and the Political Secretary to the President of BJD.
