Speaking to the media personnel, Pattanayak said, “I don’t bother about all these things. Earlier also eggs and stones were hurled at me. The BJP or any other forces who conspired this can’t stop me. Those who are jealous of the growth of Congress in Odisha have done it. We will not tolerate the forces trying to weaken the Congress”.
“We will continue to fight and protest against the NEET paper leak. Congress is staging protests across the country as lakhs of students are suffering due to the NEET paper leak,” he added.
According to reports, the Congress managed to win only 14 seats in the general election of 2024. Later dissatisfaction emerged in the party even regarding the distribution of tickets. Some Congress workers had attacked Sharat Patnaik about the ticket distribution scam.
It is suspected that the party workers who were dissatisfied over ‘massive irregularities’ by the party in the distribution of tickets might be involved in this incident.
