Angul: A youth, undergoing treatment at Angul District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) was found dead on the premises of the hospital.
Reportedly, the youth, identified as Chikun Biswal of Gotamara village under Banarpal block in Angul district, was admitted to the hospital last night after he allegedly consumed sanitiser.
Though he was under treatment, it is suspected that he committed suicide by jumping off the terrace of the hospital.
While a probe has been launched, whether he jumped or accidentally slipped from the terrace of the hospital is yet to be ascertained.
Locals and family members on the other hand and shifted the blame of the hospital authorities stating that they sent the body for post-mortem hurriedly in order to cover up the incident.
