Jharsuguda: A youth was beaten to death over a minor dispute in Saletikra village under Laikera police limits in Jharsuguda district.
The deceased has been identified as Rajat Rajhans. He was beaten to death and thrown into a field.
As per reports, Rajat left his house yesterday morning. He had a fight with a person due to some reason. Infuriated, he slapped an elderly man. Later, the man’s son and some of his friends came and took Rajat to a farmhouse, beat him up and threw him in a field outside the village.
On receiving information, Laikera police reached the spot and recovered the body. After recovering it, they sent it to the Mundrajore Community Health Center. Two persons have been detained and are being interrogated.
Rajat’s body also has injury marks in several places. Meanwhile, the police have detained two suspects and are interrogating them. Political enmity is suspected to have been the motive behind the incident.
