Rairangpur: An under-trial prisoner (UTP) of Rairangpur sub-jail died while undergoing treatment in Rairangpur hospital on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Chaitanya Behera.
According to reports, Behera, who was arrested on the charge of a rape case in the year 2017, fell sick at the Rairangpur sub-jail in August.
Following this, he was rushed to the Rairangpur hospital after his condition deteriorated. He died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment.
However, the actual reason behind his death is yet to be established. Further investigation is underway.
