Udala: Mayurbhanj’s Udala Notified Area Council (NAC) has organised Cleanliness Drive in its locality on 01 October, 2023 as part of Swachhata Pakhwada – Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2023- a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary on 2nd October 2023.
On this occasion, Udala MLA Bhaskar Madhei conveyed the message for the initiation of the Swachhata Hi Seva programme in great spirit. The Programme was organised successfully on the campus by the direction of the NAC Executive Officer, Smt. Divyaratna Das, NAC Chairperson, Smt Pramila Panda, and NAC Vice-Chairperson, Smt Lili Bhol.
Launching the campaign this morning, MLA, Shri Bhaskar Madhei said this is an initiative and it should continue throughout our life. He also urged the students to strengthen the mission by carrying it to common people in nearby localities as an outreach programme.
While coordinating the Programme in Udala area, NAC Executive Officer, Smt. Divyaratna Das urged the locals and the NAC staff to adopt cleanliness as a permanent ethos of their life and work for generating awareness regarding clean atmosphere and personal hygiene.
In order to promote cleanliness and hygiene and work for a pollution-free Udala, NAC Chairperson, Smt Pramila Panda inspired the staff and localities.
In order to sustain the drive in a befitting manner especially keeping a clean environment all the sections of the NAC and other related areas and streets of adjacent villages were cleaned. Open spaces and grounds were removed from grass, cutting wild bushes, and removal polythene bags were taken care of. It was organized with a mission to make our surroundings clean, green, and plastic-free.
All the employees and staff of NAC participated in the “Swachhata Hi Seva” in order to make it a success in true letter and spirit so as to achieve laudable goal.
