Two truck looters nabbed in Sundargarh’s Kuanrmunda

Sundergarh: Two truck looters have been nabbed by the police at Kuanramunda after they were caught with the looted trucks laden with refined oil which was detained for not having GST clearance.

Police sources said six people travelling in two trucks intercepted the 14-wheeler vehicle at Telkoi and severely thrashed the drive and helper and threw them on the wayside. They unloaded the goods from the 14-wheeler truck and headed towards Bihar.

The incident occurred on January 9 when the 14-wheeler vehicle was on its way from Haldia to Jharsuguda.

Telkoi police sources said the driver and helper of the looted truck lodged an FIR with the police station in this regard and the matter is being investigated.

The Kuaramunda police and the officials of GST are jointly taking up the matter, sources said.
