A fatal truck accident in Bhapur Block’s Duadia village, under Kaunphulia Panchayat, has left the local community in mourning. Bhimasen Behera (28), a truck driver from the village, tragically lost his life in a crash involving his vehicle.
The incident occurred early Saturday morning near Sahaspal Chhak in Boudh district. Bhimasen was transporting iron rods from Balangir to Boudh in the truck (OD 05 BA 1522) he drove. Due to a moment of driver negligence, the truck collided with a coal-laden vehicle ahead. The impact crushed the front part of the truck, pinning Bhimasen inside.
Emergency responders rushed Bhimasen to Boudh District HQs Hospital, where doctors referred him to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for advanced care. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries en route to the state capital, passing away near Nayagarh.
Bhimasen’s untimely demise has left his family and the community grief-stricken. His funeral was held amidst an atmosphere of profound sorrow.
