Commuters and pilgrims heading to the sacred city of Puri, brace yourselves! Several popular local MEMU train services across the Khurda Road Division will not run tomorrow as Indian Railways prioritises critical safety upgrades.
In a proactive step to strengthen infrastructure and deliver safer, smoother journeys in the future, the East Coast Railway has announced the temporary cancellation of eight MEMU trains. The works between Malatipatpur and Puri stations are part of ongoing modernisation efforts aimed at reducing risks and improving reliability on one of Odisha’s busiest rail corridors.
While the short-term disruption may affect daily commuters, tourists, and pilgrims, railway officials stress that these upgrades will ultimately make travel more dependable and efficient for everyone.

- Train No. 68403 Khurda Road–Puri MEMU
- Train No. 68404 Puri–Khurda Road MEMU
- Train No. 68415 Cuttack–Puri MEMU
- Train No. 68416 Puri–Cuttack MEMU
- Train No. 68437 Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU
- Train No. 68438 Cuttack–Bhadrak MEMU
- Train No. 58405 Cuttack–Paradeep MEMU
- Train No. 58406 Paradeep–Cuttack MEMU
