Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced the introduction of a new train service exclusively for North Odisha, delivering a long-awaited connectivity boost to the region.
The announcement, made in response to persistent demands for better rail links, promises to transform travel for residents and further strengthen Odisha’s overall railway network.
Minister Vaishnaw assured that North Odisha will now receive the same level of attention already extended to western, southern, and coastal parts of the state.“North Odisha will also get a dedicated train service to address the region’s connectivity needs,” the Minister stated, reaffirming the government’s resolve to expand rail infrastructure across every corner of Odisha.
This development aligns with the broader vision of ensuring balanced regional growth. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government continues its focused efforts to improve passenger services and bring modern rail connectivity to underserved areas.
The new service is expected to enhance convenience for daily commuters, students, traders, and families travelling within and beyond the state, while opening up new opportunities for economic and social progress in North Odisha.
