Bhubaneswar: The Governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das, has initiated the process for appointing new Vice-Chancellors at three prominent universities in the state.
The universities set to welcome new leadership are Utkal University, Rama Devi Women’s University, and Gangadhar Meher University, as the current tenures of their Vice-Chancellors come to an end this month.
Governor Das has directed the Higher Education Department to expedite the selection process to ensure a smooth transition. This decision is part of a broader effort to enhance the academic and administrative standards of higher education institutions in Odisha.
The outgoing Vice-Chancellors have been acknowledged for their contributions to their respective universities, including advancements in research, infrastructure development, and student welfare programs. The new appointees are expected to build on these achievements and further elevate the universities’ standings both nationally and internationally.
