Nuapada: At least five persons sustained injuries out of which two were critical in acid attack after a clash rose between two groups in Duajhar village under Khariar tehsil in Nuapada district.
As per reports, the clash occurred between the two groups due to the gold business in Chindaguda village. In the clash, somebody among them threw acid on the five persons. As a result, they suffered critical burn injuries. All the injured persons have been admitted to the Kharirar hospital for treatment.
The two critically injured persons were shifted to the Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital as their health deteriorated. On intimation, police reached there and initiated a probe into the matter.
