Keonjhar: Three of family members were killed following a road accident on the National highway 20 near Pipilia chhak in Keonjhar district on Friday.
The deceased hail from Barigaon village under Ghatagaon police station in Keonjhar district.
As per reports, the father-son duo was going to Bankapatuli market by scooter. At Pipilia chhak, a rod-laden truck hit their scooter. As a result, both lost their lives. When the news reached their village, the man’s younger brother could not bear theie death and died by heart attack.
after the incident, angry crowd blocked the road demanding to make flyover in that area as similar types of incidents occur there frequently. They also demanded compensation for the family members of the deceased persons.
On intimation, police reached the spot and handled the situation. An investigation has been launched into the matter.
