Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida chaired a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan on Friday to assess preparations for the smooth disbursement of the fifth instalment of the Subhadra Yojana.
She instructed district authorities to complete verification and disposal of applications referred for field enquiry by July 25, 2026, and to review progress daily.
According to official data, 1,15,75,633 applications have been registered under the scheme. Of these, 3,17,966 new applications were received during the 2026–27 financial year. After scrutiny, 1,02,04,396 women were identified as potential beneficiaries. Following verification, 5,277 cases were excluded due to deaths, finalising the list at 1,01,99,119 eligible beneficiaries.
The meeting reviewed Direct Benefit Transfer activation, biometric e-KYC, NPCI mapping, payment file preparation, and coordination with banks. Parida emphasised expeditious disposal of pending cases and close coordination among stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
The overall progress of the Subhadra Yojana was also discussed. So far, Rs 20,648.63 crore has been transferred to more than one crore women beneficiaries across four instalments. Additionally, 2,68,396 grievances have been resolved.
Parida stressed transparency, timeliness, and error-free implementation. She directed officials to ensure complete preparedness for seamless disbursement of the fifth instalment during Rakhi Purnima. She highlighted the importance of coordination among field-level functionaries, departments, technical agencies, and banks.
Director of the Women and Child Development Department Monisha Banerjee, senior officials of Mission Shakti, OCAC, and other departments attended the meeting.
