The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has inaugurated its Centre of Excellence on Artificial Intelligence, marking a major stride in advancing AI‑driven learning and innovation.
Held on August 19, the event brought together over 400 participants, including students, faculty, and industry experts, under the vision Learn. Build. Deploy. Innovate. Advisory board members Neeraj Gehani (Dunnhumby), Varoon Govil (MSCI Inc.), and Dr. Saumendra Mohanty (ValueFirst) graced the occasion, reinforcing BIMTECH’s commitment to hands‑on learning and technological excellence.
The structured programme introduced participants to AI fundamentals, Generative AI tools, Google AI Studio, Antigravity, and Cloud Credits, enabling them to transform ideas into working prototypes. Teams explored applications across MedTech, FinTech, EdTech, and Open Innovation, developing scalable solutions to real‑world challenges.
Highlighting the institute’s vision, Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director, BIMTECH, said, “Ideas are only the beginning of innovation. What matters is the ability to test, build, and create solutions that address real problems.”
Winning projects included Wroom Wroom, Loser Core, and Carpiedem, with participants recognised for creativity, technical execution, and impact.
The Centre of Excellence on AI underscores BIMTECH’s focus on experiential learning, industry collaboration, and future‑ready education, bridging classroom knowledge with innovation and real‑world application.
