Steep Rise In Temperature Across Odisha, Malkangiri Hottest At 38.5°C

Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha witnessed a steep rise in maximum temperature, with Malkangiri recording the highest day temperature of 38.5 degrees Celsius.

While the highest maximum temperature was recorded at Malkangiri, the lowest minimum temperature of 15.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

As per the latest IMD, “Dry weather prevailed over the districts of Odisha. Maximum temperatures observed marked rise at a few places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha, appreciable rise at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Dense fog has also occurred at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak and Angul of North Odisha, it added.

“Minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at one or places over the districts of South Interior
Odisha, appreciable rise at many places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, at one or two places
over the districts of South Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were
above normal at a few places over the districts of South Interior Odisha, at one or two places over the
districts of North Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha, ” the IMD said.

Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the district at Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Gajapati, Ganjam

Day 3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 17.03.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 18.03.2021).
Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
