Pandian shared Odisha and India’s proven experiences in disaster response, recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term disaster mitigation. He outlined practical measures that helped communities rebuild stronger after major calamities. Rodríguez listened attentively and noted parallels with Venezuela’s current situation.
The meeting also highlighted the strong spiritual bond between India and Venezuela through shared reverence for Sathya Sai Baba. Both sides recognised how this common spiritual connection fosters goodwill and mutual understanding beyond official diplomacy. Pandian emphasised how faith and community spirit often support recovery efforts in affected regions.
