Bhubaneswar: The Jayanti committee of ‘Pragativadi’ founder and prominent thinker Pradyumna Bal on Tuesday felicitated Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan and invited him to attend the State level Ceremony of Pradyumna Bal birth anniversary to be held on November 8 as a guest. The Governor accepted the invitation.
During his visit to Odisha, Jayanti Committee members Santosh Kumar Das, Lalitendu Patnaik, Shashibhushan Sahoo, Jagannath Padhi and Bhikari Charan Baishak paid a courtesy call on him at his residence in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
The committee expressed gratitude to Harichandan who had been gracing the Pradyumna Bal Jayanti ceremony for the last three years as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh and presented him with a souvenir published on the occasion of 50th anniversary of ‘Pragativadi’.
On the occasion of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a book ‘Amrit Sankalan’ published by the ‘Pragativadi’ was also presented to the Governor.
The veteran leader thanked the ‘Pradyumna Bal Jayanti Committee’. He said that as great person of Odisha, Bal left behind the ideals of values and uncompromising politics that will keep him alive for ever. Referring to his relationship with Bal, Harichandan said that Odisha could not give him due respect as he deserved.
