In a significant step towards realising the dream of a developed Odisha, the state government has prepared a special guideline titled ‘Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047’.

This is not merely a plan but a robust reflection that integrates the dreams, hopes, and aspirations of all Odishans. The core objective of this vision is to build a developed Odisha for a developed India.

At the workshop titled “Viksit Bharat for Viksit Odisha” organised today at Mission Shakti Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida participated and emphasised that various sections of society—including students, experts, industry organisations, and diaspora Odias—have played a crucial role in making this vision a reality.

The vision prioritises citizens and also gives importance to rural empowerment, prosperity for all, our traditions and pride, path-guiding initiatives, technology, and people-centric administration. It provides a clear roadmap for transforming Odisha into a stronger, more sustainable, prosperous, and self-respecting state over the next two decades, she stated.

Special emphasis has been placed on women’s empowerment in this vision. Through measures such as promoting women-led MSMEs, branding and market linkages for self-help group (SHG) enterprises, product diversification, quality improvement, and consultations, women at the grassroots level will become more economically independent and empowered.

To implement this vision, the workshop saw participation from Block Project Coordinators (BPCs), Block Project Managers (BPMs), District Project Coordinators (DPCs), and District Project Managers (DPMs) from all districts. An awareness program on the Odisha Vision Document was conducted during the event.

Representatives from affiliated organisations such as IRRI, IHM, WAASAN, and WSC discussed their efforts in women’s empowerment.

The participation of every citizen in Odisha has further strengthened this vision. With a commitment to building a prosperous and self-reliant Odisha for future generations, ‘Odisha Vision 2036-2047’ has ignited a new ray of hope among all. In the coming days, it will play a key role in transforming thousands of mothers into entrepreneurs through SHGs, creating ‘Lakhpati Didi’ and ‘Maha Lakhpati Didi’.

On this occasion, Mission Shakti Director Dr. Monika Priyadarshini, Departmental Additional Secretary Shailendra Kumar Jena, and others were present.
