Bhubaneswar: Boosting the law enforcement agencies, Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar will get its first narco analysis test center by next month.
All the required equipment has arrived at the State Forensic Science Laboratory of the Capital Hospital. Psychiatrists and anesthetists of the hospital are currently undergoing training for the same.
Laxmidhar Sahu, director of Capital Hospital, stated: “We urgently needed a narco test center in our State during the investigation of the Naba Das murder case. Without it, we were compelled to transport Gopal Das, the accused, to Pune for the test. Odisha’s state government made a wise decision by opening a narco-test facility there.
It will be a significant milestone in crime investigation. For 30 years, only polygraph or lie detection tests at the SFSL in Bhubaneswar have been conducted. This move will help neighbour states as well.
