The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, will conduct matric, madhyama, and state open school certificate examinations from February 19 to March 2, 2026.
A total of 5,61,979 students will appear across 3,082 centres. To secure question papers, 322 nodal centres have been designated. Question papers have already reached the Board headquarters in Cuttack under armed police protection and will be dispatched to nodal centres by February 17.
Board President Srikant Tarai confirmed that every nodal centre and exam hall will remain under CCTV surveillance. Live streaming will allow the command control room to monitor proceedings in real time. Fire safety arrangements and 24-hour armed security have also been deployed at the headquarters.
Each question paper booklet carries watermarks on every page and number, making it easy to detect leaks. The Board has introduced these measures after past attempts to circulate fake papers online.
On exam days, nodal centres will distribute question papers to exam halls under strict security. The Board emphasised that any irregularities will be immediately visible through live monitoring.
Officials assured that the arrangements aim to ensure transparency, prevent malpractice, and provide a fair environment for all students.
