The Odisha Higher Education Department has sought the Vigilance Department’s assistance to ensure transparency and accountability in the ongoing recruitment of Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Professors across 16 state public universities.
Commissioner-cum-Secretary Aravind Agrawal, IAS, issued a letter to the Vigilance Director urging strict monitoring of the recruitment process. He emphasised that the department remains committed to conducting the selection in an environment of fairness and integrity.
Agrawal directed vigilance wings in the concerned districts to keep a close watch on all recruitment activities. He stated that active involvement of the Vigilance Department would prevent corrupt practices and undue influence, reinforcing public confidence in the process.
He also instructed that any complaint or allegation related to recruitment should be promptly addressed with sincerity and diligence. The outcome of such interventions must be reported to the Higher Education Department for follow-up action.
The department requested all universities to extend full cooperation to vigilance officials to maintain transparency and credibility throughout the recruitment drive.
