Odisha Govt To Spend Rs 25 Cr For Training Centre Of Adarsha Vidyalaya Teachers

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced to build a training centre for the teachers of Adarsha Vidyalaya at a cost of Rs 25 cr.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday laid the foundation stone for the same while attending Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangthan foundation day here at Samant Vihar.

The training centre will have an auditorium having a capacity to accommodate 300 teachers and lodging facilities for 100 teachers. Moreover, 10 workshop centres will also be a part of the building.

On the sidelines of the occasion, the CM also unveiled a special scheme for the welfare of the teaching staff called ‘Bajra Yojana’.

Under the yojana, teachers will have to donate their one-day salary to the welfare fund which would be helpful for them during their financial problems.

On the occasion, the CM gave away prizes to five Adarsha Vidyalaya for their outstanding achievements and five meritorious students who achieved greater heights in various fields.
