Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has sanctioned Rs 55 lakh to feed stray animals during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The funds released from the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) will be utilised in five Municipal Corporations, 48 Municipalities and 61 NACS. NGOs and social organisations will be engaged to feed stray animals and birds.
The government had earlier sanctioned Rs 60 lakh for the purpose.
