Bhubaneswar: The state government on Tuesday announced a holiday for state government offices and magisterial courts on the day of the Pipili by-election in the constituency.
An official notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department said September 30 will be a holiday for state government offices and magisterial courts (executive) in the area under the Pipili Assembly constituency in Puri district.
The government on the order of the Governor has made the announcement to enable its employees to exercise their franchise without any hurdle on the day, the notification signed by Dr. Usharani Sahoo, the additional secretary stated.
