Marking the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, September 17, Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati participated in a tree plantation drive under the nationwide ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign at Atal Bana inside the Loka Bhawan premises.
Extending his warm wishes, the Governor prayed for the Prime Minister’s good health, happiness, and long life. He highlighted PM Modi’s benchmark milestone of completing 25 years in public service, spanning his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat and subsequently as Prime Minister of India.
“Today is the birthday of Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. He has completed 25 years in public life, first serving as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and then as the Prime Minister of India. On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt greetings,” said the Governor.
Speaking on the plantation drive, Dr Kambhampati noted that ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ is a flagship initiative favoured by the Prime Minister to boost environmental protection and promote green cover. He also commended the Prime Minister’s efforts in steering national development and strengthening India’s global standing over the past quarter-century.
