Sambalpur: Odisha Governor and Chancellor Prof Ganeshi Lal has curtailed the powers of Vice Chancellor of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla with immediate effect.
The direction by the Chancellor said the VSSUT Vice Chancellor will not be allowed to take decisions on financial matters. He has been asked to convene the management board meeting in a week.
The direction from the Chancellor said the VSSUT Vice Chancellor is not entitled to take any decision relating to appointment and promotion.
The VC has been asked not to interfere in the official matters of the varsity. The direction further said that permission has to be taken from the Chancellor before taking any decision on administrative matters.
