Saintala: Unidentified miscreants decamped with Rs 60,000 along with important documents belonging to the Secretary of a Cooperative Bank here on Friday evening.
The miscreants broke open the dickey of Rohit Sahu’s motorcycle kept outside the cooperative bank and made away with the cash amount.
Reports said Rohit Sahu, who works in the same bank, had come to meet the manager on official work. After his return, he found that the bike’s dickey was broken and Rs 60,000, ATM cards and other documents stolen.
Sahu has lodged an FIR Saintala police station in this regard. Police have registered a case bearing the number 44/21. ASI Prasanna Nayak is investigating the matter under the direction of Sanitala IIC Barini Das.
Locals have demanded that police patrolling be intensified to put a curb on such looting.
