Five-time champions Mumbai Indians unveiled their new jersey for the upcoming IPL 2026 season, introducing a striking design inspired by the letter ‘M’.
The repeating pattern creates rhythm and continuity, symbolising the team’s mindset, mentality, and momentum.
The franchise retained its iconic blue and gold palette but added a dynamic visual identity through the bold ‘M’ motif. The deep blue reflects the spirit of Mumbai—energetic and constantly in motion—while flowing gold waves represent success, victory, and legacy. Despite the fresh design, the jersey does not feature five stars above the logo to mark the team’s titles.
Mumbai Indians explained that the design expresses collective strength, uniting players and fans under a shared identity. The team will once again be led by Hardik Pandya, who is currently in excellent form in the T20 World Cup 2026.
MI reached the playoffs in IPL 2025 but lost to Punjab Kings in Qualifier 2. The franchise has not won a trophy since 2020 and now aims to end its drought in the 19th season. Victory this year would make the Mumbai Indians the first team to claim six IPL titles.
