Jharsuguda Murder Case: Man Arrested for Killing Elder Brother with Stone

Jharsuguda police arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly murdering his elder brother with a stone near Brundamal railway station.


The accused, identified as Khirodnath Nag, had been absconding since March 1 after killing his elder brother, Viveknath Nag, aged 28.

According to GRP IIC Santosh Mirdha, the incident took place in a settlement near Brundamal railway station. Khirod attacked his elder brother with a stone, leading to his death, and fled the scene. Police launched a search operation and successfully apprehended him on Friday afternoon from the Jharsuguda old bus stand area.

Following the arrest, police produced the accused in court today. Investigators are probing the motive behind the crime, which has shocked the local community.
