A shocking incident has been reported from Roath village under Agalpur police limits, where a 14‑year‑old boy was killed by another minor following a quarrel during a card game.
The deceased has been identified as Sahil Patel, son of Ramesh Patel of Roath village. According to reports, Sahil and his friends, including Kunal Bariha, were playing cards at the village club around 11 AM. A heated argument broke out between Sahil and Kunal, after which Kunal allegedly went home, returned with a knife, and stabbed Sahil.
Sahil collapsed on the spot and was rushed to Agalpur hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The incident triggered tension in Roath village, with locals staging a protest outside Agalpur police station demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
Police seized the body and registered a murder case. The accused minor has been taken into custody, and the body sent for post‑mortem to Bhima Bhoi Medical College, Balangir. SDPO Saroj Upadhyay visited the site to assess the situation.
