Dhenkanal: A minor boy and the driver of a sand-laden tipper sustained critical injuries after the vehicle fell from the bridge near Santhapur village under Gandia police station limits in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday.
As per reports, the accident occurred while the sand-laden tipper lost its balance and fell from the bridge. At the same time, the minor boy was sitting near the bridge and after hitting by the tipper, he also lost.
As a result, both the boy and the driver were seriously injured. Locals noticed them and informed the police. On intimation, the police rushed to the spot and rescued them. Both have been admitted to the Dhenkanal Hospital for treatment. Further reports are awaited.
