Dhenkanal: Over 10 school students sustained injuries when the bus they were travelling in was hit by a truck at the Korian bypass on NH 55, within the jurisdiction of the Sadar police station in Dhenkanal district.
As per reports, the mishap occurred while the private school bus carrying around 40 to 50 students from classes 1 to 10, was on its way to the school. Due to repairs on NH-55, the bus had taken an alternative route where it was rear-ended by a trailer truck. The truck driver left the scene immediately after the accident.
A teacher on the bus was also injured and hospitalized with the students. The injured parties were reported stable and were discharged after initial treatment.
