A passionate Pokémon card collector has turned his hobby into history by selling his entire card collection for an astonishing Rs 3.8 crore (RM 1.87 million).

From Hobby to Record-Breaking Sale

The collector, Damiral Imran, recently announced on Facebook that his Pokémon card collection had officially been sold for RM 1,870,000.

“My Pokémon card collection officially SOLD for RM1,870,000,” Imran wrote in his post, celebrating what he called a life-changing moment.

The sale, first reported by New Straits Times (NST), follows Imran’s earlier listing of the collection for the same amount.

‘From a Small Room to Making History’

Expressing his excitement, Imran reflected on his journey as a fan and collector:

“From a small room in Shah Alam to making history in the Pokémon world. This is more than a sale — this is a story of passion, grind, and legacy.”

Alongside the announcement, Imran shared several photos of his massive card collection, with stacks of cards neatly organized across his room.

A Collection of Rare and Authenticated Cards

According to reports, the collection was authenticated and graded by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), a well-known U.S.-based card grading service.
The South China Morning Post noted that screenshots from the global tracker Shiny estimated the collection’s value at over RM 2 million.

Imran’s collection reportedly included numerous rare and first-edition Pokémon cards, making it one of the most valuable personal collections in Malaysia.

Offers, Patience, and a Porsche

Before the record sale, Imran had received multiple offers — including RM 1.68 million and even an exchange proposal for a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S plus cash. However, he held out until he found a buyer willing to meet his asking price.

A New Milestone for Pokémon Fans

The sale has captivated Pokémon enthusiasts across the world, highlighting how the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) continues to grow in value and cultural significance.
What began as a nostalgic childhood hobby has now turned into a multi-million-dollar global collector’s market, with rare cards fetching staggering prices at auctions.

Imran’s journey from a dedicated fan in Shah Alam to a record-setting collector has inspired many others to view their collections not just as memorabilia, but as potential investments — and legacies of passion.
