Balasore: Unidentified burglars looted cash from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of State Bank Of India in Odisha’s Balasore late on Saturday night.

Reportedly, the miscreants targeted the ATM near Remuna Khirachora Gopinath temple.

The robbers used a gas cutter and other equipment to break open the ATM. The exact amount of cash stolen from the ATM will be ascertained only after bank authorities reach the spot.

According to locals, two or three people were enquiring about the timing of the opening of the temple to one of the temple authorities and they were talking in Hindi.

However, the unfortunate incident has questioned the safety of localities near the temple areas despite there being a police outpost situated nearby. Being informed, the police officials reached the spot and initiated further investigation in this connection.
