New Delhi: On Friday, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) made a financial contribution, presenting a dividend cheque of Rs 2,441 crore to the government.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman acknowledged the payment, receiving the cheque from LIC Chairman Shri Siddhartha Mohanty.
“Smt @nsitharaman receives a dividend cheque of Rs 2,441.44 crore from Shri Siddhartha Mohanty, Chairman Life Insurance Corporation of India (@LICIndiaForever),” Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Office said in a post on X.
The transaction was witnessed by Financial Services Secretary Vivek Joshi, which underscores LIC’s financial role and its commitment to contributing to the nation’s fiscal health.
