Keonjhar: Police arrested a man, identified as Debendra Jena, for producing fake documents to get the tender at Rural development department in Keonjhar district.
Reportedly, the matter came to fore after an engineer lodged a complaint against three contractors, Debendra, Surendra Bhuyian, and Gadadhar Nayak at the Town police station.
On the basis of the FIR, police launched a probe and arrested Debendra while two other accused yet to be arrested.
Upon initial interrogation, Devendra spilled that at least 33 contractors were involved in the tender process. Questioning all the contractors will eventually lead cops to the mastermind behind the misappropriations regarding tender process, reports said.
