Union ministers greeted her warmly with folded hands, and she reciprocated the gesture. Both prime ministers shook hands and posed for photographs, symbolising the cordial ties between the two nations.
Takaichi arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday and shared photos of her arrival on X. Modi reshared the post, welcoming her and emphasising the importance of advancing the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership. He highlighted that joint efforts will continue to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal described the visit as an “important step” in strengthening ties.
