The Centre for Modernising Government Initiative (CMGI) organised an orientation programme for members of the ICC Women Entrepreneurship Council (INWEC) on the Odisha Right to Public Services Act (ORTPSA) and the Ama Sathi Unified WhatsApp BOT at Lokseva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, on May 15.
CMGI Executive Director Surendra Kumar Meena (IAS) welcomed participants and emphasised the government’s commitment to engaging civil societies in promoting citizen‑centric governance. He announced Cabinet approval of the Auto Appeal System, which automatically escalates service requests when deadlines are missed, ensuring accountability and efficiency.
Project Coordinator Pinaki Mohanty led a technical session explaining the ORTPSA framework and the Auto Appeal System’s digital architecture. He also introduced the Ama Sathi Unified WhatsApp BOT, designed to simplify public service access and enhance transparency. A live demonstration was presented by a partner from Meta India.
INWEC Convenor Swati Kejriwal praised the initiative for empowering citizens and entrepreneurs through technology. Members Nivediata Narula and Samidha Sathpathy described the session as insightful, highlighting Odisha’s leadership in digital inclusion and public accountability.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Sarita Kanungo, Dy. Project Coordinator, CMGI.
