Odisha Cabinet Greenlights 11 Proposals: Water Resources Leads with 5 Approvals

Following the meeting, Chief Secretary Anu Garg briefed the media on the decisions taken. The Cabinet discussed and approved a total of 11 proposals spanning six key departments, underscoring the government’s continued focus on development, welfare, and infrastructure.

The Water Resources Department topped the list with five proposals, reflecting priority on irrigation, water management, and related projects. Housing and Urban Development contributed two proposals, while one each came from the Finance Department, Law Department, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department, and the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department.

The meeting highlighted the state government’s commitment to advancing critical sectors through timely decision-making. Officials noted that these approvals will pave the way for improved service delivery and developmental initiatives across Odisha.
