Benchmark Indian equity indices, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50, traded largely flat on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, amid elevated crude oil prices and significant selling pressure across IT stocks.
Despite subdued performance in front-line benchmark shares, broader market indices outperformed sharply, driven by strong buying interest in midcap, smallcap, auto, and defence stocks.
Benchmark Indices Rangebound as IT and Oil & Gas Slip
