The maritime sector forms the backbone of India’s trade and economic activities, contributing to the country’s development through ports, shipping, and international trade. National Maritime Day serves as a reminder of the sector’s importance and the nation’s ongoing efforts to expand and innovate in maritime endeavors.

Prime Minister Modi’s focus on enhancing infrastructure and fostering growth in the maritime sector aligns with India’s ambition to become a global leader in maritime trade and industry. On this special occasion, citizens and stakeholders are encouraged to reflect on India’s maritime achievements and contribute to its future success.
