The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a large-scale offensive, Operation Herof Phase II, which it says has been underway for more than 40 hours across multiple districts of Balochistan.

The group released images and videos identifying two female suicide attackers among the 11 fidayeen involved. One was named Hawa Baloch, alias Droshum, described as a writer whose father had earlier links to the armed movement. The BLA said she was killed during clashes in Gwadar and shared what it called her “last message”, urging Baloch women to join the armed resistance. Another fighter, Asifa Mengal, was identified as carrying out a vehicle-borne IED attack on January 31 targeting the ISI headquarters in Noshki.

According to BLA statements, fighting has spread across Kharan, Mastung, Tump, Pasni, Quetta, and Noshki. The group claimed Pakistani forces had been “pushed back” and alleged over 200 casualties among the army, police, and Frontier Corps. It also said 17 captives were taken, including senior district officials, though they were later released as a “humanitarian gesture.”

The BLA acknowledged losing 18 fighters, including 11 fidayeen from its Majeed Brigade.
